DYLAN BLACKBURN
Hi! My name is Dylan and I'm a photographer located in Winston Salem, NC. I first picked up a camera in 2016. After taking photos of my friends for fun and enjoying photography as a hobby, it soon became a great passion of mine. I began to do more portrait work and slowly became well known in my community.

In January 2017, I decided I wanted to make photography my career. I began branching out and working with local models and other photographers in Winston-Salem. Soon after I was presented with the opportunity to go to New York and shoot behind the scenes for an up and coming fashion brand. Running off the adrenaline of an opportunity of a lifetime to me, I was more motivated as ever.
I held several photographer & models to help bring the community together across Winston-Salem and Greensboro. In December 2017, I became extremely sick and was unable to take photos anymore. After months of being bedridden I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in June 2018. Soon after my treatments began I was feeling better and had more motivation and drive to pursue my dream of photography.
Ever since then I have been working to push the envelope for photography in Winston-Salem.
In recent years, I’ve moved on and began working video production and producing commercials/profile videos for local businesses and has lead to getting to work with well known businesses such as Chipotle and Mr Beast! It’s given me the opportunity to meet and learn from incredible people from all around the world.
When the pandemic began in 2020, like many people I lost a lot of work. People weren’t booking portrait sessions as often as before. I began using this extra free time to just simply walk around and take photos. I fell in love with street photography and shooting landscapes. I quickly realized this was the most fun I had ever taking photos! As I progressed I became recognized and was recruited to join North Carolina’s tourism board (Visit NC) roster of photographers!
